The ICC Champions Trophy 2006 will take place in India between 7 October and 5 November. Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mohali (Chandigarh) and Mumbai have been chosen as the venues for this tournament. Top ten teams from the LG ICC ODI Championship table would battle it out in 21 day-night ODI matches (including the qualifying round) for the trophy.

The stadium already has floodlights suitable for hosting day-night matches. It is going for further expansion of seating capacity to an estimated 57,000. The all-new green outfield in the stadium is sure to add a degree or two to the excitement of the games.
Mohali (Chandigarh): Another five matches would take place in the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium of Mohali, which is often compared to the world famous ones for its wonderful pavilion and state of the art facilities at gallery, press box, restaurants and even toilets. With a seating capacity of 50,000 as well as international-standard floodlights, the youngest Test venue in India is one of the best here. It also boasts of a hospitable crowd, a great bar and excellent food.
Mumbai:Five matches including the Final will take place on the historic ground of Brabourne Stadium, which is one of the oldest stadiums in India. The stadium is conveniently located in South Mumbai near Churchgate Station and only a few hundred meters away from Wankhede Stadium, another famous ground in Mumbai. The Cricket Club of India, who owns the stadium, plans to install world-class floodlights to equip the ground for day-night matches. The beautiful pitch coupled with the charm of its antiquity is sure to offer a worthwhile experience to cricket lovers across the globe. The presence of Bollywood movie stars among the audience is also another major draw.
